The OWR community is a place to speak your pain and find hope, a place for healing and resources to move into a brighter future. We’re here for you, you’re not alone on this journey.⁣

Every year, millions of children experience traumatic events. Which can lead to mental health disorders, substance abuse, and even criminal activity. Adverse childhood experiences can manifest in adulthood and lead to financial instability, unemployment, and even homelessness. But we are here to end the cycle of trauma by giving children the resources to take what’s happened and be over-comers. 

Is it time for the OWR Community to start talking about it more? Yup: We want to create a safe space for everyone to find a place to belong and grow. We are committed to spreading hope and healing to all those who experience adverse childhood experiences.

How can you help? You can support one of our new Foster2Adult mentorship program. This new Orphan World Relief program is directly impacting youth aging out of the Ohio foster care system who not only have a unique mix of adverse childhood experiences but are also in need of physical resources. 

Community is the backbone of many movements and it’s about time we start creating one for children living with adverse childhood experiences.

There are so many opportunities for people to get involved, each with its own rewards. The first step is awareness and we can’t do that without you, our community.
